Underrepresented Artists Scholarships

We know that training to become a professional dance artist is a privilege, and underrepresented artists have been part of LMD’s family from its inception. Starting in 2021/2022, LMD will introduce two dedicated scholarships for exceptionally talented BIPOC and other underrepresented dancers. This is one way that we can engage and encourage aspiring underrepresented dance artists to train and dance with us without the worry of cost. Selection is by audition and there is no declaration or proof of status required. Beginning with the 2021/2022 season, LMD will offer the following annual scholarships dedicated to BIPOC/underrepresented dance artists:

·         The New Dancer Scholarship is for an aspiring BIPOC/underrepresented dance artist that is just beginning their professional dance training with LMD.

·         The Company Dancer Scholarship is for a current LMD BIPOC/underrepresented dancer of exceptional talent and work ethic that wishes to continue training and performing with the company.
