The Lamondance Professional Dance Company provides a vital professional pathway primarily for graduates of our post-secondary contemporary training program. We also welcome extraordinary talent beyond our alumni base, enriching our ensemble and the community with high-calibre performances.
The company serves as a natural progression for talented individuals from our training program. This established pathway cultivates and retains exceptional talent within the Lamondance ecosystem, offering alumni crucial first professional roles and ongoing career support.
Under the direction of Davi Rodrigues, our company trains intensively from September to June, covering ballet, somatic practice, improvisation, and contemporary dance. Our repertoire features groundbreaking contemporary works by both established and emerging choreographers.

Project-Based Structure
We operate on a flexible, project-based model. When grants and funds are secured, we offer paid performance opportunities to our dancers.
Guaranteed Practicum Space
Even without project funding, Lamondance provides dedicated space for daily practicum—supporting continuous growth and exploration regardless of funding cycles.
Apprentice Program
Provides recent graduates invaluable experience, allowing them to perform alongside the main company and gain hands-on production expertise.
