ABOUT THE SHOW

WE

The show features the strength and fragility of HUMAN, as well as his foresight and grace, to illuminate the portion of humanity that is within each of us. In the hopes of leaving a mark on the national artistic community, it has been a significant objective for artistic director Davi Rodrigues to involve Canadian creative forces in a show where we represent the sense of community.

Another exciting sneak peek, this time we present “WE” choreographed by Artistic Director Davi Rodrigues for the show "WE" that will take place at the Dance Centre Downtown Vancouver, from June 2nd - 4th, 2017.
"existing or present" is the newest Lamondance creation by our guest choreographer Vanessa Goodman for the show "WE" that will take place at the Dance Centre Downtown Vancouver, from June 2nd - 4th, 2017. This work is a collection of who we are - Vanessa Goodman

Kauã that in the Tupi-Guarani language means "big Hawk” Portrays the reality of the rich indigenous Brazilian culture that disappears every day and sadly in a near future will become a legend. Choreography part of the show "WE" Lamondance season 8. Where: The Dance Centre When: June 2nd and 3rd @ 8pm and June 4th @2pm Tickets available at www.lamondance.com
Kintsugi is the newest Lamondance creation by our guest choreographer Shauna Elton for the show "WE" that will take place at the Dance Centre Downtown Vancouver, from June 2nd - 4th, 2017. Kintsugi method conveys a philosophy not of replacement, but of awe, reverence and restoration. The gold filled cracks of a once broken item are a testament to its history. The beauty and the importance stays in the one who is looking at the dish. Without the involvement of the viewer, there is no story.

INSPIRED by the photo “GARDEN OF LIGHTS" By Pierre David with Sean Corriel. An idea that Jessica Kmetovic proposed for the 09 / 11 memorial in New York combined with the book "THE POWER OF NOW" by Eckhart Tolle. There was a last hour, a last minute, a last second that 2,982 stars went dark. A cloud passes over the city; it is a shadow on the garden, a sparkle in the stars below, a glimmer on the altar, a flicker in the soul. With intense and compelling clarity, Garden of lights holds the promise of leading us to a Spiritual awakening of our best and highest place within to resonate with and reflect the energy of true transformation as we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate. The garden of lights links the sky above to the new sky below a new rhythm for the city. A nation still stands up after this tragedy. Garden of lights was specially choreographed by Davi Rodrigues for the closing gala of the International Dance Seminar in Brasilia Brazil in July 2016. It had the participation of Lamondance company, Dance 2000 from Brasilia and also Faces Ocultas from São Paulo. "I was touched so deeply when I visit the 911 Memorial last June 2016 that my heart and soul wanted to speak". - Davi Rodrigues Choreography: Garden Of Lights Choreographer: Davi Rodrigues Dancers: Lamomdance - Canada | Dance 2000 - Brasilia | Faces Ocultas - Sao Paulo
