Alice in Winterland: A Twisted Plot

Step through the looking glass and join the cast of our brand-new winter production!

We are looking for talented dancers ages 9 to 16 to perform alongside our professional company in this "twisted" holiday classic. This is a rare opportunity to experience a professional rehearsal process and take the stage this December.

Participation is 100% free with no cost to join.

Auditions are Saturday, September 19, with groups for ages 9–12 and 13–16.

Rehearsals will happen every Saturday, from 3 pm to 7 pm, from September to December.

For the past 30 years, my life has been dedicated to the language of contemporary dance—finding ways to translate the human experience into movement. After five wonderful years of A Winter’s Twist, I felt a profound necessity to create something new for our company and our community. I wanted to build a bridge between the nostalgia of the holidays and the bold, transformative energy of the present.

That search led me back to Alice.

Alice in Winterland is more than a production; it is a journey born from the belief that our society needs the spirit of the holidays now more than ever. But rather than a traditional fable, we are looking through a different lens. We are exploring the "frozen psyche"—the moments when we lose our way—and the breathtaking spectacle of how we find our warmth again.

While the stage will be filled with the fantasy and wonder that the winter season brings to us all, the core of this work is deeply human. It is about the connection between the artist and the audience. Every leap, every note of the soundscape, and every shadow on the set is designed to make you feel something real.

We aren't just putting on a show; we are keeping the spirit of our community alive.
