Dear esteemed guests,
I want to express my excitement about Lamondance's production, "Soul Searching." This production celebrates our emerging artists throughout season 15. Our production is a collaboration of talented dancers, choreographers, and technicians who have come together to create a mesmerizing performance that explores the wonders of the human mind and the constant search for the meaning of our souls.
As the Artistic Director of Lamondance, I am beyond thrilled to present this groundbreaking production that transcends the boundaries of dance and delves deep into the human soul. Today, we gather to celebrate the incredible journey of our talented dancers and the collaborative spirit that has brought "Soul Searching" to life.
With a stellar lineup of guest choreographers, including Eowynn Enquist, Isak Enquist, Margarida Macieira, Sidney Chuckas, Alysa Pires, Cai Glover, and Wen Wei Wang, alongside our dedicated Lamondance performers, each step embodies a story, a passion, and a moment of self-reflection.
This show is a testament to our dancers' dedication, technical prowess, and artistic expression, whose commitment shines through in every movement, inviting you to embark on your own introspective voyage. A provocative exploration of the origin of souls is portrayed through daring and profound movements. Soul Searching delves into the idea of a celestial realm where sages such as joy, sadness, anger, fear, disgust, happiness, and love shape our souls before sending us to Earth on our human journey. This work invites contemplation and intrigue.
