Payton is a contemporary dance artist based in Vancouver, British Columbia. She is currently working with Lamondance company, and SQx Dance Company, where she has been performing a range of contemporary works and leading workshops across Canada and Portugal. She grew up dancing competitively in Ottawa, Ontario, before relocating to Vancouver to pursue professional contemporary training. She completed her training at Arts Umbrella Dance Company, graduating in 2021, and continued her development at Lamondance in North Vancouver, where she graduated from in 2023. In January 2024, I expanded my experience by participating in the N.O.D. Nuova X program in Turin, Italy, where she worked with Tom Weinberger and Andrea Costazo Martini.
