Gabriel Prado
Gabriel Costa Prado is a 23-year-old dancer from Paracambi, a city in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. His journey in dance began at the age of 11 through an urban dance class offered by a social project in his hometown. He was awarded at the Joinville International Dance Festival for two consecutive years, in 2017 and 2018, and became a finalist at the All Dance World competition in 2019. In 2021, he was accepted into the Bachelor's Degree program in Dance at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and in 2022, he was selected as a student at the Deborah Colker Movement Center. He is also currently a dancer with In’Cena Dance Company.
Gabriel has been working toward becoming a professional capable of opening doors, guiding others, and showing children and young people that a career in the arts is a real, viable, and transformative path—especially in the face of the violence, disorder, and disillusionment that affects many communities. He hopes to contribute to this cause particularly in his home country, Brazil, by supporting the education and development of children and youth, especially those most affected by discrimination, marginalization, and financial vulnerability.
