Lamondance season 1

"You, Me and Them" took place at the Kay Meekcentre on May 29, 2010.

It was Lamondance first show.

The first act was shared with Monica Proença and Lara Barclay Lamondance co-founders.

The second act was created by three choreographic voices, You, Me and Them presents an environment of temptation, monotony and joy as painted by different classes in society.

Lamondance season 2

"What We Leave Behind" took place at The Cultch on May 29, 2011.

It was Lamondance’s second show.

Monica Proença choreographed “Copacabana”, Lara Barclay “No need for words” and Davi Rodrigues “Skirmjan”.

For the first time Lamondance invited K&S Dance to share the stage with the work “Game On” choreographed by Josh Beamish.

Still part of the show the company presented “Terra Arida” with choreography by Monica Proença and Duet Monica Proença & Davi Rodrigues.

Terra Arida depicts life in an area of Brazil that is so arid and deprived of water that it is almost impossible to exist. Caught in a dusty landscape of physical challenge and demand, one must hang onto their will to survive.

The work was also presented in Germany at the Tanzart festival in Nordhausen 2011.

"Do you remember?” ☝️ “Copacabana” a creation by Mônica Proença (Lamondance Co-Founder) the total length of the piece was 16 min, It was the first number to open the show “WHAT WE LEAVE BEHIND.” The show took place at the @The Cultch on May 29, 2011. ✍️ Copacabana portrays the golden years of the Bossa Nova period. "Do you remember?” ☝️ “No Need for Words” a creation by Lara Barclay (Lamondance Co-Founder) the total length of the piece was 14 min, It was the second number of the first act of the show “WHAT WE LEAVE BEHIND.” The show took place at @The cultch on May 29, 2011. ✍️ No Need for Words explores global communication. Focusing on gestures and customs inherent to various cultures, the piece creates a dialogue between different people of the world. From hello to goodbye, the dancers describe what could take place if there were no longer any geographical borders. � Swod, The Notwist "Do you remember?”. "Do you remember?” ☝️ “Skirmjan” a 23 min, creation by Davi Rodrigues, It was he’s second creation for the company and it was the closing number of the show “WHAT WE LEAVE BEHIND.” The show took place at the @The cultch on May 29, 2011. ✍️ Skirmjan (meaning "to defend, protect") reveals a giant chess board controlled by its human counterparts. Combining physical intensity with precision and speed, each player must confront their fragile self while attempting to surpass their emotional limit. � Mozart "Do you remember?”. Lamondance season 3

“Here and After.” took place The Dance Centre on May 27, 2012. Marking our Third show and first performance at TDC.

In the show new creations by Mônica Proença, Lara Barclay and Davi Rodrigues.

"Do you remember?” ☝️ . “The Arrival” is an inspired adaptation of a graphic novel entitled “The Arrival” by Shaun Tana. A 15 min, creation by Lara Barclay (Lamondance Co-Founder), for the show “Here and After.” The show took place @The Dance Centre on May 27, 2012. . ✍️ It tells the story of an immigrant who lives in a long forgotten time. A man leaves his wife and child seeking better prospects in an unknown country on the other side of a vast ocean. He finds himself in a bewildering city of foreign customs, peculiar animals, curious floating objects and indecipherable languages. With nothing more than a suitcase, the immigrant must find a place to live, food to eat and some kind of employment. He is helped along the way by sympathetic strangers, each carrying their own unspoken history: stories of struggle and survival in a world of incomprehensible violence, upheaval and hope. . � Coral . "Do you remember?” ☝️ . “Anjos Que Caem” a 30 min, creation by Davi Rodrigues, for the show “Here and After.” The show took place @The Dance Centre on May 27, 2012. An excerpt of AQC was performed through seasons 4 and 7, without any doubts a masterpiece that still resonates with our audience members. . ✍️ Anjos que caem (Falling angels) is about the path of angels once they have finished their mission. Where do angels go once they have fulfilled their duties? "Why are we here now?" - This piece suggests that there is no 'now' or 'here.' There is only a place that angels create together, so they can find one another.  Nobody makes it alone.  They need each other to finish their work. What is an angel's purpose? "HUMAN" took place at The Dance Centre from May 31st to June 1st, 2013. 

It was Lamondance’s fourth show.

Monica Proença and Lara Barclay collaborated creating “Dreamstate”, and Davi Rodrigues “Barakah - An Unexpected Journey To A Future Never Known”.

An excerpt of Dreamstate was performed in Brazil in July 2013 for the International Dance Seminar in Brasília and also for LMD season 8, without any doubts a classic piece that still resonates with our audience members. . ✍️ Dreamstate represents the spectrum from wakefulness to deep sleep. It begins in a state of quiet wakefulness and ventures into the personal territory of individual dreams. Directed by the vulnerable disorientation that occurs as one passes through the many stages of sleep, the dancers gather impulses and memories from their dream travels. . "Do you remember?”. "Do you remember?” ☝️ . “Barakah - An Unexpected Journey To A Future Never Known” a 45 min, creation by Davi Rodrigues, for the show “HUMAN.” The show took place @The Dance Centre from May 31st to June 1st, 2013. . �Barakah was performed in Brazil in July 2013 for the International Dance Seminar in Brasília and also for LMD season 8, without any doubts a classic piece that still resonates with our audience members. . ✍️ In Islam, Barakah (Arabic: بركة : also Baraka) is the beneficent force from God that flows through the physical and spiritual spheres as prosperity, protection, and happiness.
(Wikipedia) In a future not too distant from now, a group of people gathers beneath a desert sun to ask forgiveness from the earth. Years of neglect have depleted their livelihood, and the search for water becomes a mission of faith and courage. A wise woman steps forward to demonstrate a more spiritual way of survival. The desert heat obscures people's sense of reality and their thirst is echoed through empty water barrels. The journey is hard and they are filled with a wild love for each other. They engage in rituals that demand human sacrifices in the hopes that the earth will accept their apology and replenish their existence. . "Do you remember?”. People look into space and seem to be elsewhere. We feel the presence of what is hidden, of what surely exists but is not yet revealed. We feel something change as we watch this piece. These forces ultimately cannot exist without the other and are being put on a scale to maintain the balance of the universe. The bond of energy is broken, allowing light to reach all places. .
