A distinguished contemporary dance voice in Vancouver since 2009, Lamondance established itself to promote and expand the contemporary dance vocabulary throughout training dancers and creating unique and unmistakable shows that will evoke the audience's senses.

Former dancers have gone on to work with international companies such as "Batsheva Dance Company" (Tel Aviv, Israel), "São Paulo CIA de dança," 45 Degrees by Cirque du Soleil, Ballet BC (VancouverBC) among others.

Our Program

The core of our two year dance program is based on the daily work of a professional dance company. Learning new and past repertoire will be constant within the training hours as well providing a rigorous curriculum well balanced with Contemporary and Classical training, The artistic development of each dancer is individual but placing in a group seating, collaboration is the key in this process. We look for committed and serious dancers.



Artistic Development

Working based on the daily work of a professional dance company, the program provides the dancers with the experience to learn and execute past and new repertoire. Dancers in the program will always be presented with an opportunity to perform local and internationally.

Lamondance has performed in Germany as well in Brazil several times.

Artistic Director

 Davi Rodrigues


Originally from Brazil Davi Rodrigues is a Canadian Citizen that distinguished himself as a dancer for many years and as an young visionary choreographer for nearly a decade prior to running off and joining Lamondance, having made a name for himself on the basis of an audacious, immersive theatrical approach by choreographing and mentoring dancers supporting them as an important member of the society being a dance artist.

With this, he brings high energy, creativity, passion and optimism to the work environment always.



Our two-year contemporary based training program offers dancers the opportunity to immerse themselves in original choreography and to experience the concept of working with a professional dance company. The director, instructors, and choreographers will bring their unique international experience and passion together to guide students toward a career in dance.

Financial Assistance

LMD since its foundation is committed to making dance training accessible to as many dancers as possible.

Discounts, bursaries and Scholarship programs are designed to help these dancers to overcome financial barriers allowing them to continue their professional development. These opportunities usually have very particular criteria that you must meet to qualify.

Lamondance does not provide Student housing, and it is the student responsibility to find a place to live.

Guidance can be offered to those that will need homestay as well as renting throughout the Vancouver Area.

International students

Since its foundation, Lamondance has stabilized the cultural exchange in between countries, starting with Brazil bringing international students to share their experience as well to collaborate and learn about Canadian Culture.

Today the cultural exchange has been amplified having students from other countries as such as Colombia, USA, Latvia, Mexico and French. The exchange program not only offers the highest quality instruction but wonderful education of arts and culture to all. Our mission is to surround our dancers with inspiration and support while promoting a strong sense of unity.


Lamondance Training Program is not yet recognized as a learning institute; therefore, for international students, we can't provide a student visa.

For international students, we can only offer a spot in the program for six months or less.
