Born and raised in Nelson BC, Oksana Maslechko began dancing recreationally at a young age; but it wasn't until she met Slava Doval around age 13 that she realized she truly had a passion for it. Oksana continued to dance with Slava for six years, learning different styles such as House, Balkan, Afro, Belly Dancing, Bollywood, and many others. Despite her lack of technical training, Oksana was determined to continue dancing post-graduation, which led her to audition and be accepted into Lamondance Preprofessional Training Company, directed by Davi Rodrigues. Oksana has completed two years at Lamondance and is now in her third year, as part of the new apprenticeship program. She is so excited to continue challenging herself, and can't wait to see what the future has in store.
